Spirit Animal Illustration Assignment

 

Animal Requirements

  1. The spirit animal you choose must reflect you and your characteristics based on the Native American spirit animal characteristics.
  2. Maintain the original design characteristics. Features, patterns, lines etc.
  3. Incorporate your astrological sign in such a way that it is unobtrusive to the design.
  4. Include at least 3 colors (not counting black and white)
  5. The colors you choose should be related to the colors meaning.

Illustrator requirements

  1. Finished design must fit on an 8 ½” x 11” paper, Portrait or Landscape as appropriate to your animal shape.
  2. Each color should be on a separate layer.

Illustrator Options and hints

  1. Use the trace option as well as hand drawing to create elements.
  2. Use the path simplify function.
  3. Use Multiple tracing.
  4. Save often.
  5. Make multiple copies as you work. This way you always have a backup if edited version fails…
